The Forest Path

Fern approached Mac and Raphael. She looked at Silver's body, then to the teeth covered necklace on her neck, the to Silver's body again.

"I wonder why...." Flower's voice trailed off as she took a sip again, but suddenly everything went black and she fell into the river.

FLOWER!" Fera cried out to her friend, she clambered in and lifted flower out of the water, "HOLY CRAP YOU GUYS COME HERE!"

Flower just lay there, there must have been something in the water, something terrible

Mac shot her head up pumping Silvers motionless head, "What happened this time?!" Mac ran over and helped get flower out "Do you think this is what happened to.....Silver?"

Flower was breathing very slowly, she could see everyone crowding around her, with her eyes closed, but she couldn't talk, or move

"Flower!" Fera started to cry, what was happening? was there some sort of plauge in the water?

Flower was dragged out of the water by her friends, she couldnt feel anything. She was still breathing, but looking around with her eyes closed

Rapahel stood and left Silver's body for the first time in about a day and walked over to the water, he smelled it and his eyes watered, he turned to the other's, "it's no plague" he said grimly and walked a little way off, following the river, there as he predicted was a dead carcass in the middle of the river, it was old and had decayed a bit but he saw that it was a deer, a male. Raph walked back to the rest, "theres a dead deer carcass in the river up there, the water has been fowled by the body" he said sadly. So much death and pain. Raph walked up to Flower, took her by the scruff of the neck and hauled her further away from the water, he ran his paw over the forehead, she had a nasty fever. He turned to Fera, "can you get some mud from the bank please Fera?" he asked.

Flower thought I drank water that passed by a dead deer? Gross!!

"yea," Fera was glad to be of some help, she scooped some mud up in her mouth and walked back to raph.

"Wher joo gou wannit?" Fera's voice was muffled by a full mouth.

"I think she'll be alright, I don't think that will kill a wolf. But make them pretty sick huh?" Mac said with some hope.

"soiled water is the last we need right now, well have to find an entire new spot on the river!"

"Well I'm sure there is a river in the Myr part of our territory! I think its called the Myr River." Mac smiled and continued, "She might feel better if she had some fresh water, come on!" Mac waited for the others to follow.

Flower was lifted up by her friends and carried to the new river

the new river was twice as fast and choppy, but it was clean.

Flower's eyes opend a little, she scooted closer to the river and lapped some up. She was feeling a little better.

"Oh I'm so hot and thirsty! I hate this dark fur it always attracts the sun..." Mac dove into the water with a big splash and used her muscular legs so she wouldn't get pushed down stream. She drank, went under, paddled, and played.

Fera went to a small bank where the water wasnt as fast and lay down in the cool water.

Flower stood up and walked toward Fera, she was a liitle wobbily. She layed down in the water next to Fera, ''What happend? I could see you guys taking me here and pulling me out of the water, but my eyes were closed!"

Raph smiled as Flower stood, "you'll be fine" he said before walking slowly back to Silver's body with his head low.

The snowy femmora darted through the trees, growing ever closer to the wolven ahead. Stopping for a moment, she selected a new route, and wound her way forwards. Ahead of her, she could see the shapes of wolves, and she smiled. As she reached them, she noticed one was lying motionless, and her smile faltered. She looked to the wolf near the fallen one [Raph] and picked her way over. She glanced at the other wolven around, and decided to stay back, but still near enough that she would be noticed.

Raphael sat next to Silver, his eyes closed, he sensed a presence around her, like she wasn't dead, he snorted, *impossible* he thought, shaking his head. Yet he concentrated with all his soul, then he felt a release and he looked down and with a shock he saw his body, on the floor, he was almost invisible he took a few steps and it felt like he was walking on water. He ran and jumped through the forest, he felt a heightened sense of awareness, smell and sight, he thought it was amazing. He didn't have a backwards thought about his seemingly dead body and the other wolves...

Mac saw Raph fall to, "RAPH! WHAT HAPPENED THIS TIME?!" Mac ran over and stared in shock..she realized that he wasn't dead. But she just couldn't place what it was! She just stared blankly at the two motionless wolves...
