The River in the Forest

The snowy pelted maiden crouched by the river, pink ribbon lapping up the sparkling liquid. She raised her dome, pearly droplets clinging to the fur under her chin, which were expelled with a quick shake of the crania. She yawned and glanced around at the lush, jaden trees, selecting a particularly large one that she could rest under. She padded over, more like loped, and settled herself underneath it, pillars bending and folding underneath her slim form, plume curling around her. She sighed happily and rested her crown on her padders, lids sliding shut over sapphire occuli.

After days of traveling, Raphael a lone wolf, padded his way towards the sound of rushing water. He knelt down next to the river and lapped up the delicious water hungrily. Raph was extremely thirsty and didnt even notice the wolf on the opposite side of the river.

Llucie dozed peacefully under the tree, blissfully unaware of the wolf nearby. In her sleep she dreamed of wonderous things, and, in reality, a happy bark slipped through her kissers. The sound wound its way through the air and travelled around the area. Her plume gently flicked up and down.

Nikki sleepily walked up, every so often nearly falling over. She heard a stream rushing, and stumbed over to lap it up. It was fresh, and very cold. Then she looked up to see a blue male wolf also drinking from the water, and a white female one sleeping under the tree. This had woken her up a bit. "Uh.. hi." she said to the male.

Ebony fur sliced between the trees with clean procision. A shadow danced among the sunlit forest, weaving its way to the stream that lay between there. Eventually it turned into a river, and opened to a thinner forest, but here the shores lapped against the roots and fed itself into a brilliantly huge falls covered with rocks and ivy. There, the shadow slowed, gaining a more defined shape until it turned completely into a wolf. It was tall, lanky, and thin, ribs clearly showing. Easily it would tower over any other, but was half the width. He was a loner, with strength only in his legs, of which he ran on constantly. He had no home, a nomad, and he had no interest in family or packlife. He liked the open road, each day new and unexpected, and time to time getting into mischief. Stormy blue eyes looked deeply into the water as a pink tongue lapped up the frigid, churning stream. He breathed out deeply, body heaving with the exertion, and took in the cool fresh air. He had been in plains for a loooong time, and he missed the trees and flora of a forest. Tem decided to follow the stream south, see if it got any shallower and smoother, and then decide if he wished to cross.

Sara heard the stream and followed her senses over to it, instead of drinking it up like a normal wolf would. She jumped right on in and lay in the water. She looked around at the wolves around her and she she said happily, "Hiya! My names sara!"

Nikki looked down at the joyful wolf playing in the water. "Hi... Sara." she said shyly. "I'm Nikki." She observed the wolf, what was she so happy about? Her light pink eyes looked into Sara's with a half smile as droplets of water ran down her whiskers from the stream.

Tempest continued downstream, picking his way with accurate grace, though his legs were longer than normal. He stalked quietly, pensieve, until he came upon a fw wolves enjoying themselves by the bank. He stayed back for a moment, hidden within the shadows, and then shrugged slightly and stepped out into the open.
"Hello there," he said, tongue lolling out slightly in the heat of the day. That was the bad thing about black fur, mind you. "I'm Tempest. "

Raphael looked at the collection of wolves, he had never seen so many together. Raph turned and acknowledged the lanky male "I'm Raphael" he said before continuing to drink, water dripping from his chin. He would like to make a friend to travel with but not necessarily a whole pack, he preferred the quiet life of a nomad.

"Nice to meet you." replied Tem, also taking a drink of water. "Where do you head from?"

"Hi!" Sara said to everyone for she didn't know which wolf was talking to her. "Uhh....so hows life?" Sara couldn't think of anything else to say...

Raph stopped drinking and turned to the ebony male, "I've always travelled, its the best way to live" he saidwith a distant smile.

"Hi Tempest." Nikki greeted Tem and turned her attention to Sara and replied, "Boring."

((GOODGOOD! 8D lol))

"Great! Wait-I mean.....w-why?" Sara said in a dumb voice, "Mine is uh....exciting I guess?"

Nikki shrugged and replied, "Just... nothing ever really happens to me. I have no dreams, no goals, I just want a purpose in life. I just... can't seem to find one." What she said was truly sad, but she didn't really care now, she knew what the truth was, and she couldn't deny it.

"Well I don't have a purpose either and you don't see me all mopey and stuff!" Sara smiled and walked over to Nikki and shook off all the water spraying Nikki.

Nikki turned away when Sara shook off and said, "Yeah, well it's not many times that I happen to come upon so many wolves. I have no friends, and there's nothing fun to do." Nikki was not mean, or she didn't try to be, she was just neglected when she was a pup. Both of her siblings picked on her and they would convince their parents that Nikki had always done something bad. When she hadn't.

"A, a fellow nomad!" replied Tem happily, "It's not often you find one. And to answer your question, Sara, life actually is going pretty well. I found a purpose a while back, and I intend on fulfilling it." He stood a little proudly at that.

(whoops, sorry I just get so confused with all this RPing ><)

Sara looked at Nikki and said, "Well I have a lot of fun and I have never really been with anyone, hey I could be your friend!" She smiled. "Thats great!" She said as she turned to Tem.

"Oh... okay." Nikki said with a shy smile as her tailed wagged slowly.

Sara smiled and then did a back flip right back into the River. "hehee come one jump in!"

Tem flashed a toothy smile at Sara before taking a running dive into the water. He didn't usually like toehr wolves, but there was something about these other loners that made him unwind a little. He paddled around, snapping at fish every once and a while.

"hehe this is fun!" Sara smiled

"It is! I haven't swum in ages" he replied before diving down again to scrape the bottem with his claws and then coming back up for air.
