Comet Mountain

Melia tried to pounce on a butterfly but instead pounced on peirce and backed away,"I-i didn't mean to!"

Peirce glared at her and kept walking.

Melia held in her tears and stood up,"I lost the closest thing i had to mother, because of those things..."

Peirce ignored her, she was sick of the little pest and now Melia wasnt making it any better.

Melia began to walk off,"Maybe i can- no, nobody can replace her..."

Icefire sighed as they all went seperate ways and sat down, licking a forepaw.

Melia returned and flopped down next to Icefire,"I think she hates me..."

Icefire layed down and forced a smile "Cheer up, pal." she said.

Melia sighed,"How can i? The closest person i had to a mom basically hates me and their is no replacing her. It's like being abandoned all over again."

Icefire sighed again "Who cares! Now you can be free and do what you want! Those pups will be born soon and probably make everyone in a good mood." she pointed out.

Peirce layed down under a tree. She drew a little heart with her claw and smiled, then closed her eyes to go to sleep.

Melia stood up a walked towards the creatures and sat down staring,"Doing what i wanted is what got me in this big mess. If peirce somehow finds it in her heart to forgive me...I'd do anything for that..."

"Maybe when she comes back I'll talk to her..." Icefire sighed, and layed down, putting her head on her paws.

Melia smiled,"Thanks Icefire!"

Icefire lightened up. This pup wasn't to bad.."No problem. Oh, hey, want me to show you someone to play with?"

Melia jumped up and down with joy,"Yes, please do!"

"Alright, follow me." Icefire trotted into the woods, and towards an oak tree. She sat down, and a few seconds later a small chattering began, and two small chipmunks scuttled down the tree "I lived alone when I was your age, and little guys like these could keep me entertained for hours." Icefire said rather cheerfully, and stood back up "Trust me, you can play tag or something, and they'll never tire out!" with that she walked back towards the pack.

Peirce hear voices around the corner. She peered over some bushed and shrubs to see IceFire walking away from Melia. Peirce layed low so she wouldnt be noticed.

Icefire didn't see Perice, and walked out onto the beach. She slowly strolled along, looking off into the distance. It was strange being here..and she didn't know why, but it felt like she shouldn't be here alone...like it was dangerouse. Icefire sighed, and sat down on the beach when she noticed something in the water. She wadded in, and looked closer, but still didn't know what it was. She swam out a few feet, and didn't see it. How could it have moved..-then it hit her: a shark. Icefire spun around, thinking of how stupid she was, and started to rapidly swim to shore. Then, she felt a searing pain, and something tugged her underwater before she could yelp. She was only a few feet away from being safe....

Peirce didnt want to be near Melia, so she decided to go follow IceFire. No where to be seen, "IceFire? You there?" Her scent trailed into the murky water. A shadow flew by, it looked big in the front, as if it was holding something, "I-IceFire??" She whispered and stared into the water.

Icefire saw a small shadow peering down into the water as the shark whipped her around. It was almost twice as big as her, and she prayed that Perice wouldn't come in after her...

Peirce stuck her head in the water, it suprised her that the water wasnt murkey, but the top only was. Shaaark!!!! She screamed as bubbles flew out of her mouth. It dropped Icefire and went right towards Peirce's face. She leaped out of the water and saw Icefire float to the top. She jumped into the water, IceFire wasnt far from shore. She grabbed her tail and swam back as fast as possible. The shark was too distracted from hitting its nose against the dirt.

Melia sat there staring at the chipmunks and twitched with fear as all the feelings and commotion from peirce and Icefire hit her,"What's going on..." she turned from the chipmunks and slowly padded in some shrubs and froze. Watching she thought,"Maybe i can help...nah Peirce wants nothing to do with me. But Icefire is bleeding!" she acted fast and grabbed something to wrap around Icefire's wound and ran out to them with it. She froze again too scarred of Peirce to even speak. The object fell to the sandy ground. She stood there shaking in fear right in front of Peirce. She thought to herself,"Stupid STUPID STUPID!!!! Why are you afraid. Ugh what will she say?"

Icefire felt the warm sand on her limp body, and then suddenly everything went black. She had lost alot of blood from a gash on her shoulder, and was exstreamly weak. All that was left was the shallow rasps of her breathing to show that she was still alive.
