IDITAROD TRAIL

Nuli felt a growl kreeping up her throat. She turned quikly at glared at all of them.

Navaho sighed, and ignored Nuli " We wouldn't catch her though.."

Maizy kept silent, she didn't want to anger Nuli.

Navaho put his head on his paws and tried to rest.

Light sighed and kept moving

Kjell aroused the teaml, Scouts forehead was bleeding from a rock hitting it, but that was the worst of injuries.

Nuli was slightly limping, trying to hide it from everyone.

Kenny closed his eyes for a moment and felt the wind toy with his long chest hair. he smiled with thrill.

((kenny has macho manly curly CHEST hair!!!!! lol.. thats what i was thinking while i wrote this)

Nuli looked at him and smiled shyly.

Navaho looked around " I don't smell Blue anymore though..." he frowned.

[lol, no that's okayy. xD]

"Well yeah, of course." Maizy said. "She's probably somewhere in the forest,"

Navaho nodded, and skimmed the edges of the forest, but aw nothing but some deer.

Blue saw the deer as well, from her high cliff, watching all. She licked her chops and came down from her cliff, but she was way behind the sled team, she didn't see them so she took off towards the deer. She hid in a bush and licked her chops some more waiting to pick out the perfect target. Then she saw a week old female deer and she circled around it, she jumped out of the bush and dove on the deer back. He massive claws dug into the deer's back and it fell quickly, it was a small doe and was weak as well. It was an easy kill for her. She smiled merrily at her accomplishment and dragged it off into a deeper part of the forest so she could eat in peace.

Light suddenly got a strong sent of blood, she looked around then looked back at Maizy and Navaho, "What is that?" She said in a disgusted voice.

" I smell....doe blood..." Navaho licked his chops " Mabey.....Blue? " He looked around, but aw nothing.

"Dang..." Maizy said. "Even if it was Blue, we can't leave in the middle of racing."

Nuli snorted slightly, then saw the trail of blood leading into the forest, "Woah..." Nuli smelt through her nose and gagged.

Maizy smelled the blood too, and licked her lips. "I can't remember the last time I had deer..." she muttered to herself.

Blue growled at her carelessness, she had thought the team was long gone but apparently they just passed. But to her liking they weren't able to see her. So she happily munched on her meal, her mouth and chest coated with the doe's blood. She finished quickly then she heard a crack, something was watching her, "Maple...?" She said, a bit scared. She got tense and waited.

A dark shadow circled her in the dark part of the forest, waiting.

Light stuck her tongue out and said, "Ugh, I can't even imagine eating raw meat!"

Maizy rolled her eyes and kept going.

" The next rest we have, I'm going to look for her..." Navaho skimmed the treeline once again, and then concentrated on running.

Maizy nodded in agreement.

The shadow emerged from the forest and smiled, his sharp canine teeth glistened in the sun light, "Miss me?" He growled.

Blue back up in shock, "You...!" She squeezed out, he was her old mate before she found Maple. He had abused her and she had had enough so she had ran away, but before she did she gave him a large scar across his left eye. She never thought she would see him again but there he was and he was stronger.

He stepped out further into the light exposing his chocolate brown fur. His growled angrily and said, "I have a lot to show you." He smiled and attacked.

Suddenly Maizy's left leg had a spasm, which threw her off balance. "Oh no..." she said. "Navaho! Something's wrong!" her eyes grew wide.

[Remember back 30 or 40 pages ago? Maizy's leg always twitches when something's up. O:]

Blue was pinned to the ground, she snarled and threw the other wolf off, "What do you want, Moti?!" (lol yus its Moti) She growled, "Whatever I did was because of what you did to me!" She dove on him and they rolled further into the forest.
"IF you don't remember," Moti began, "you were the one who hit me last, so I have pay back!" He growled and dug his jaws into her neck.
Blue yelped in pain and cried slightly, then she used her back legs to force him off, she staggered and stared at Moti as he stared at her.
