Orange and White- An Ethiopian Wolf Roleplay

(( ommm Tindura was already outside..lol ))

A little while later Tindura came back with a Prarie dog in her mouth. She droped it to the ground and ripped off the 4 legs and threw 2 to each pup. Then waited for Mascue and Alia to come back to finish the rest " thanks.." Tulia muttered nawwing one of the legs.

"Alrighty, so with two we can we try to catch some gazelle right?" Alia asked.

(Wait its Gazelle right? Not Deer...or elk?)

(( yeah I think so ^^ ))

"T-thankyou," repied Jipher politely, picking at his food instead of wolfing it down like before. Slowly, steadily, his bravery and thirst for exploration were returning, and he could already feel that Tulia was just the same as he.

" I said, you wanna go hunting? " she wispered again " C'mon we can sneak out " she giggled

"Are you sure we're allowed?" asked Jipher, he felt comfortable here and didn't exactly want to anger any of the adults. A strange awareness and a caution came from being anabdoned, no matter how short the time.

" Just C'mon! " she wispered looking at Tindura, then moving a rock which led outside. Tulia slipped through and waited for Jipher to follow.

Jipher followed obediently; he was usually the leader, but his wariness was holding him back.
"where to now?" he asked, slinking in the shadows.

" Let's try to find some Gazelle! " she said " They will be proud of us! "

"Yeah!" replied Jipher, enthusiastic, his old spark aflame. "This way!" he took off after the two adults, veering slightly so they wouldn't run into them.

They reached a small herd of Gazelle. " Wow this is great! " Tulia said with a big grin on her face"

Jipher stared out at the herd; he hadn't seen so much food in...never actually. He sighed happily.
"It is. Let's choose...oh, I know, that big one over there!" He was still a puppy, and not schooled yet in hunting, so he had no idea of which animal to choose.

Mascu stopped suddenly, "Alia did you hear that?, a pup's voice, over by the herd". Alia and Mascu had decided to attack stealthily from the trees and watch the herd for stragglers they could pick off. Mascu heard the little voices again and scanned the distance for the pups.

Alia nodded and picked up her ears, she searched the heard closely

Suddenly Mascu saw Jipher in by the herd of Gazelles, "JIPHER!" he roared, leaping over a fallen tree and heading straight towards the pup, he knew that the pup could be easily trampled to death.

Alia jumped down as well standing between the pups with Mascu and the Gazelle.

Jipher flinched at Mascu's voice, turning to see the overly-large male leaping towards him, an unreadable expression on his face. The pup panicked and, thinking the wolf meant to kill him, scrambled backwards, slipping on a rock and falling to land on his back.

All of a sudden the gazelle panicked and ran creating a stampede with Mascu in the middle, he growled and looked around, suddenly he found and opening, he ran as fast as he could towards the temporary doorway through the bodies. Then one gazelle kicked the wolf in the face with a sharp hoof and Mascu howled in pain as his eye began to bleed, he ran and finally got out. "JIPHER!" he called, holding a paw to his eye. Though he had only known the pup for a very short while, he felt responsable for him and would hate for him to die so early.

Alia growled menacingly at the herd she knew Mascu couldn't hunt with a cut like that...so she decided to catch one herself. She split the herd and found a younger gazelle that had been left alone in the panic. she ran over from behind and jumped on its neck. It flung up and ran around a while with Alia still on its back but after a while and biting harder and harder Alia finally managed to kill the thing. She dragged it over to Mascu and Jipher

The little pup yelped as a large male gazelle bounded towards him with guick, fleeting strides. A strange feeling overcame him, and the small wolf stood shakily and began to run, his blue eyes wildly searching for Mascu. He had only known the older wolf for a short time, and he was still wary of his fangs and claws, but Jipher felt drawn to him and the safety net he held. He spotted him within the deer and sped towards him, dodging left and right and getting only stamped once, on his back foot. Now limping, he reached Mascu and stood underneath of him, trembling as pain washed over him.

Mascu stood over the pup, growling at an occational stray gazelle until finally, the herd had disappeared. He looked at Jipher, "you..you OK kid?" he said weakly, wincing at the pain shooting through his swolen eye.

Alia had watched all that had happened, the she grabbed her kill and dragged it over to them, she dropped it at Mascu's feet and said, "Are you alright?!"

Tulia ran after the gazelle and nipped at their hoves and chased after them.

"Yes..yes I'm fine, please, go..go get the other one" he said picking Jipher up carefully in his jaws and running towards his cave.

Tulia kept running then saw Tindura running towrds her and cranked the pace up a little, she was very swift and could run just as fast as any regular Ethiopian wolf.
