Pleasant Lake- a herding dog RP

Max looked SOH in the eyes, he touched her paw with hers, "please SOH, please let it go" he asked pleadingly.

"You wanna fight me Sherbert?" growled Fell, crouching defensively. "Go right ahead. What have you got to prove?"

SOH looked down at her friend, his affectionate touch with a paw was enough to calm her down. "im staying... ill be calmer from now on... but i am NOT fighting the humans, you all can go attend your own funeral, but ill stay here." SOH was taking slow breaths, she looked down, and noticed that max's paw had greatly outgrown her own. she felt a wash of guilt come over her, she had anger inside of her the entire time she knew max, the anger had made her miss his childhood. "Fell, i am afraid, afraid for max especially, when he's out of my sight i worry so much, you would never know the love of a mother. NEVER."

"Perhaps he would not," spoke Swiftnight suddenly, padding up from behind Fell where she had waited to see if he needed protecting, "But I would. I have." She looked at Max and SOH and for the first time, smiled at the aussie, it was small and half-forced, but it was a start. Fell calmed down upon seeing her, but his ears remained back in slight frustration.
"You see, you do have something in common."

"what's your story?" SOH sneered.

"SOH!" Daisy said quickly as SOH sneered at Swift, "Don't you see she is trying to help?"

"Daisy! Shut it! what's your problem? i asked her a question!"

"You don't have to say it so mean..." Daisy sighed

SOH shook her head and turned away.

Swiftnight's smile turned to a growl as she bared her teeth lightly.
"Stop being an evil little brat and maybe I'll answer, SOH. Daisy's my friend," she stepped next to the dog. Fell gave a small smile, ears still back.
"Look, maybe if you go first..." he said to Swift, but she cut him off.
"No! She can go first, or not at all." The fox rolled his eyes.
"Ohkay, how about I go first?"

"fine." SOH rolled her eyes. "she was my friend first, before all this nonsence happend." She muttered to herself.

"But you turned your back on her," said Swiftnight, before being silenced by a very powerful glare froma certain multi-colored fox.
"Alright, err, my story. Well, I was uh, I was born here, and raised here with my little sister Jade. Then a storm came one day, and it started to flood, and my, er, father Ryne got washed away and I....we thought he died." He hesitated for a moment, the scenes playing out in his head. "And then a few months later my mother, Jipsy died because she was careless with greif and the farmer killed her after she was caught stealing a piglet. We were starving, for the farmer had expanded the land and he already controlled the pasture, which was our greatest spot for food before he came along. I fended for my sister Jade until she set out to find a better place, and I moved my den closer to the farmer so i could get food when i needed it if i was clever enough." He paused again. "I was living on nothing basically, I was a starving, and sometimes instinct took over where i didn't remember who or where i was, and I'd wake in the morning to find a sheep or something killed and flood smeared all over me. That is, until I found feather, and befriended Daisy, and started really fighting with you, SOH."

SOH sighed. "i guess its my turn then..." She turned to Swiftnight, "i lived with the farmer, he bred aussies. I was his #1 Dam, one day he got a new Stud for me, i loved him dearly. When i finally had the puppies, he became jealous of them because i was spending too much time with them and not enough time with him. One day i woke up and he had killed each and every one of them and laid them next to me, all lined up like they were still nursing. The farmer put him down after that, but after that day... i learned that i could never trust anyone, not even my closest love." SOH said it all with a straight face.

Fell's ears went back slightly in sadness, but Swiftnight seemed unfazed.

"I suppose it's my turn. Well I watched my parents killed as a pup and was taken to an evil hunter along with my two brothers. I was seperated from them, and learned later that they died a horrible death from disease. I lived in a kennel with fourty other dogs, and was tortured to hunt, as well as bullied relentlessly by the dogs. I was torn apart at every chance, by both human and dog. I escaped and lived in a small valley for a year with the love of my life, and I finally gave birth to three beautiful puppies. However, one day as I was hunting I heard barking, I ran home to find my mate killed and my pups slaughtered by the same hunting dogs. I fled and joined The Moonclaw Pack, where I fought my way to the second highest rank in the brutalist pack in the forest. I live with no love, no pups, and in full danger of being killed every single day." She also said it with a straight face, almost uncaring, the only betrayal of emotion was the one high note of pain as she described her dead mate and cubs.

"Humans,"muttered Ryne gruffly, his blue eyes narrowed in disgust.

"humans are not ALL bad, most of them love us dogs." SOH narrowed her eyes back at Ryne.

"I am friends with all of you...." She said clearly and then she sad more sadly, "I....think." Daisy looked at them with her head cocked, "Well if we are telling stories...could I share mine? Its not as sad or anything..."

"ive got all the time in the world." SOH muttered.

'Of course!" said Fell, "Go right ahead." Ryne glared at SOH for a moment and then just rolled his eyes, muttering, 'herding dogs," before sitting down again.

Daisy turned to Ryne and sneered, "Ah hem!" She spat. The she turned and began, "Weeelll...I was born on the streets, but I was the only one of the litter to live, so I was pretty much born wild. The human who took me in wasn't all bad. So i lived on my farm, but I never once bit at any animal that tried to steal an animal, I didn't have the heard and looking back at it now I am pretty happy with that! Then I met Fell and it all went up hill from there....nothing sad, like you guys." Daisy looked at everyone then said, "Pretty boring life huh?"

SOH said nothing in reply, just cocked an eyebrow a little and looked at a stick on the ground.

Sherbert just sat there, staring at everyone that was talking. She smiled at everyone, getting along... finally.

"So," said Swiftnight, standing up, "Are we all like...friends now or can I still be mean to SOH?" It was half sarcastic, half serious, but she let the others take it what ever way they wanted to.

"Well, I was already friends with everyone...so nothing new for me!" daisy said happily

"Yea, C'mon Swift! Kill me!" SOH leapt up and nibbled her ear before hopping away playfully, she was also being sarcastic, but was mostly being playful.

"Yay! Finally everyone is getting along!" Sherbert smiled.
