The Streets are Cold - A Stray Dog RP

"Oh... alright then, I see your point." She said to Milo, dipping her nose towards the ground shamefully. "I s'pose I wouldn't want to get you guys caught. But I'm sure 3 strays and one stray-in-training could outsmart one bumbling baffoon of a dog-catcher."
She put her paw up to her ID tags and scratched at them, to no avail. "You're right about these" she said , inclining her head towards Scarlett "but how the heck am I supposed to get them off?"

He nodded to himself slightly. Rosie was right. Surely the four of them could easily outsmart some stupid human who thought he had some kind of authority just because he wielded a net. Then he looked over at Scarlet, then said, "One of us could just chew the thing off for you." He didn't even stop to think if she might want to keep her collar or not.

The black canine tilted her head in though. "Or do your masters ever take it off?" She asked. She plopped down on her rump.

"They do, when I go and get groomed, but I've just gotten that done." she said, gold ears tensing "Maybe it would be best to just chew it off and get it over with..."
Rosie gulped and presented her neck for one of the rough and tough street dogs to gnaw at.

Milo looked over at Scarlet, then at Corky. He took a brisk step forward, "Someone kick me if I get so hungry that I start to eat it." he said in all seriousness, then began to chew on it, moving his teeth back and forth a bit. After a few moments, the fabric snapped and the collar fell to the ground, making the charms on it clink loudly.

Scarlet yipped happily. She hadn't been SCARED, she had just not wanted to hurt Rosie if the possibility existed.

Brief terror swept through her as the young dog's jaws gnashed near her neck. Then relief as the chewing stopped and the collar fell to the ground. Rosie looked down at it with a touch of sorrow, but a touch of thrill, too. She felt somewhat free without the markings of an owned dog around her neck.
"Well, that's that." She said, beginning to smile as she picked the collar up with her teeth and threw it back over the fence with a twist of her neck. The tags glittered sadly in their brief moment in the light before falling away from view with a soft tinkle.
She grinned at Milo and wagged her tail excited, her hips moving along with the force. Barking toward the sky, "I'm a free dog!"

Scarlet smiled and shook her dirty fur. "No more grooming for you." She teased playfully.

"Welcome to He--the streets." Nah. Cursing wasn't necessary, he decided. He thought of listing all the "dos and don'ts," but quickly realized that he wasn't one to tell her what to do or not do. She was a free dog, in that moment at least, and he was going to let her enjoy it for the few brief moments that she could.

SOH, a luxiouious haired australian shepherd, looked on. this was by far one of the most interesting things she had ever seen. the small house dog was finally free, she smiled at it's exitment. Then she decided to go ahead and introduce herself to the group, she preened her fluffy bangs for a breif moment and pranced across the street.

"Whats up? im SOH, S-O-H with all capitals." she smiled, hoping they would accept her.

Corky looked over at Rosie and said, "This is truly what you want?" She had not liked being a stray all her life but was glad to be out of the abusing she was in before. She looked over at the newcomer, "Hi SOH what brings you here?" She said with her brown eyes gleaming.

SOH looked at (corky)the dog that questioned her," just boppin around, what exactly is going on here?"

More strays?! Jeeze, this party is getting massive. But the more the merrier.... I think Rosie thought to herself as the aussie approached.
"I think we were just... well, I don't exactly know. I'm sort of new at this whole shpeil. What ARE we going to do now?" she asked, shifting her stare to Scarlett and Corky intently. She had pretty much pinned them as the leaders already.

"mabie we should try to find a place to settle down" SOH blurted in even though she knew rosie was waiting for an answer from Scarlett and Corky.

Scarlet nodded. "I think SOH is right."She murmured with a smile. "It is getting kinda dark, and trust me when I say this, the streets are NOT fun at night, even if you're in a group." She barked. Orange eyes were blank. In other words... Scarlet was dead serious.

"ok, we should get going hen" SOH suggested. "id try the north end of town, by the junkyard."

"Junkyard?!" Rosie yelped, eyes wide as she took a quick, subconscious step back, ears tense once more. "I mean.." she cleared her throat audibly and composed herself "oh yes, the junkyard. Of course. Great idea!" She barked this out with gusto, but slight fear and heavy hesitation lingered in her not-so-confident eyes which glittered as they avoided eye-contact with Scarlet and SOH.
"We should probably get this ove--- I mean, we should go soon." she said quickly, shifting her gaze toward the townhouse in which she previously resided. "Before the masters get home."

"Don't worry about it Rosie! I pretty much live there! Ya just gotta watch out for those coyotes ya know?" Corky said teasingly. "But don't worry as long as you are bigger than a coyote you can easily scare it off or take it down....I don't know about those little dogs though..." Corky said, she brushed up again Rosie to give her comfort and said, "Come on guys! Lets go!"

"alright!" SOH cheered. the group headed north toward the junkyard, "thisll be great!" they trotted with the sunset casting long shadows on the dogs.

The pack entered the dump through a hole in the fence, "This is going to be awesome!" SOH excllaimed

Scarlet snickered as she caught the glimmer in Rosie's eyes. Tonight would be fun. "It's not as dirty as you think. The junkyard is where you normally find other strays. Like, I'm sure I've seen Corky in the junkyard. No joke. And I've seen Milo in there too." She explained as she easily scaled a fence.

"Mabie well find a boyfriend for you, Rosie." SOH sneered as she pranced before a muscular doberman mix.

Corky walked on and yawned, she had her own bed out here and thought maybe they could come and sleep with her tonight, "Come over here guys! I have a place here that's very comfortable!" She said happily, she walked over to a pile of old warn out mattresses and pulled a few down, she then climbed on her own and lay there waiting for the others to come and lay.

SOH found a blanket and laid it in a tracktor tire, a formiddable den, SOH curled up in it. still eyeing the cute doberman.

Scarlet smiled. "I'm okay. I don't really like to sleep." She murmured Before crouching slightly and watching the others.

Corky was so tired she almost fell asleep right there, but she managed to stay up alittle longer and said, "Well I am pooped, good night everyone, oh and Scarlet if you aren't going to sleep could you be our watch dog? We don't want coyotes or humans coming around during the night." She warned
