Cattle Drive - the life of a cattle dog

Lancey followed behind Panic, her dark brown eyes narrowed.

Oreo took off as well. Not answering Seb. He tried biting the foxes tail but missed. So he decided to try to out run it

Feather skidded to a halt and whipped around. "Ha!" She laughed before streaking into the woods and climbing the nearest tree. "Dogs don't know how to climb!" She yowled sharply.

Lancey placed her two front paws on the tree trunk and scratched at the bark. She growled and barked viciously, trying to think of a way to scare the fox down.

Feather frowned. "Wow. I thought cattle dogs were better than this. And I would no. I'm fourth cattle dog." She said, giving Lancey a playful wink before killing the piglet.

Lancey snarled, and then jumped back down on the ground. "You're gonna pay for that!" she barked.

Feather smirked. "Have it. Wasn't really hungry anyway." She then tossed the limp baby pig down, a toothy grin on her face.

Lancey glared at Feather and then turned to Panic, a sad look on her face.

Panic growled sharply and attempted to jump up to Feather, which resulted in him grabbed her hind foot and dragging her to the ground.

Buttercup limped outside, "Whats going on?" She howled, then noticed the fox just out of the barn, She limped over there and growled, "Why did you take it if you werent hungry?" She growled as she bit her ears wildly. She was a little over protective about the farm animals.

Feather jumped back onto the tree, a devious smirk on her face. "Because, I love seeing you guys all worked up over nothing."

Oreo walked over slowly, and even though he was young he spoke wisely, "Give it up guys, I know you want to catch 'er but it just ain't happenin' ya know?" His accent slightly showed again.

Jane was right behind Oreo, and looked up at Feather with hatred.
"Cruel ones always get their come-uppance." she stated coldly. A figure watched from another tree branch high above them, and as the piglet laid there, he bent down and snatched it.
"Thanks for dinner, we should do this again sometime," Fell told Feather, grinning cleverly. "I always love an easy meal."
"FELL!" barked Jane unhappily, ears back in fury.
"Jane." replied the fox, grinning down at her, right below him.
"I'll KILL YOU!"
"Some day, some day." he said before turning and racing away from branch to branch.

Oreo sighed, "Dumb foxes..." He muttered.

SOH came out of the barn. "ooookay... whats going on?" She frowned. Reily stood next to her, "lets check it out." she led the way down the hill to the others.

Ripley ran up to the piglet and sniffed it. "Fox." he frowned, dropping his stick.

"Obviously, " replied Jane under her breath, rolling her hazel eyes.

Ripley sneered at her mockingly and surveyed the landscape.

SOH sat down and casually itched her ear, "what the heck happened?" she asked.

"that fox stole the piglet," said Jane, pointing to Feather, "and Fell ran off with it. " She growled, still angry.

"The usual..." Oreo replied

"whos fell?" Reily cocked her head.

"An evil evil wolf that's out to get me," replied Jane cynically, eyes narrowed.

"interesting..." SOH pursed her lips and stopped scratching.

Oreo looked at Jane strangely, "Don't you mean fox?"

Buttercup laughed when Jane said wolf, "Fox's sure do make some of us crazy."

Oreo rolled his eyes behind Buttercups back and then looked back up to the trees.
