| [yuss yuss all of you can join derrrr. coming in as two characters.]
"This is the last time, creten." "Aye...the last time you'll catch me!" The fox sneered, his red and black fur standing out on the dull green plains. A female aussie-collie mix growled, her chocolate brown eyes narrowing in disgust. She barked rabidly, chasing after the small animal, her graceful paws raising dust clouds behind her. The fox, a trixly lad named Fell, immediately scurried away back to his burrow somehwere, and the dog was left along once more. She padded back, passing the large feild where the cattle were kept, and stopped to survey them, resting her head on the thick wooden fence as she sat down, tired. She picked out a calf and watched it baying for its mother, wandering around on wobbly legs, a small smile on her face. She loved children, and missed her own dearly, for they had been taken from her to sell a while back, and now were all proud cattle dogs, just as she was. The female sighed, her delicate head sliding back from in between the fence posts, she wandered into the barn adjacent to the pasture and scampered up the ramp, passed the milking cows, to the loft, where all the cattle dogs slept. Her bed, a dusty, worn-out piece of sheep skin wrapped around fresh hay, lay closest to the ramp, so she could check on the animals when she wanted to and not disturb anyone. But who was this lithe, agile female? Her name was Jane, and she was a cattle dog.

| (Oreo is a young dog but not a pup...he is almost a year but not yet..)
Oreo walked around the room chasing his tail and he walked up to Jane, "Hi Jane!" He said happily.
(He looks up to her like she is his mom...)

| Buttercup walked out the door, "Our food is ready!" She called. "The master put a treat in each bowl tonight." She smiled and waddled back inside. | |

| "Hey Oreo, hello Lancey," the female replied, smiling from her sitting place on her bed. "Nothing exciting, just that darn fox creating troubles again. Almost got away with a piglet today." She sighed and looked at Oreo, whom she considered to be somewhat of a son to her. "Anyone hear any news about the next drive?"
[awww oreo!] | |

| "Nope!" Lancey said quickly turned and followed Buttercup. She ran until she got to her bowl, and gobbled up the treat first.
[As you guys might, or might not know, Lancey is my dog. And she's a fatty. xDD So yeah, she'll always be really excited for food. lol]

| [oohhhhh that's soo cuteeeeee. my pup's a yellow lab, and he's old and OBESE. haha]
"Alright, I'll be there in a minute. Thanks Buttercup!" Jane stood and stretched a bit, her legs tight from the rounding up of the cattle today to be branded. She was four, not very old, and she walked with ease out of the barn and into the house, using the back door, and into the kitchen, where she stood beside Lancey and devoured her food happily, enjoying the large piece of beef used as a treat.

Buttercup followed Lancey and took one bite of her treat, then the other food, then the treat, over and over. Buttercup smiled as she ate up the rest of the treat. "That was good!"

| Lancey wolfed down the rest of the food and licked the bowl clean. She brought her head back up and licked her lips, "That was good!" Then she headed back outside.

| [I really like the name Jane, the reason is because my family had a baby named Jane Elizabeth C. but she had Trisomy 18 so we only had her for 5 days, but it brings back a lot of good memories! ) Oreo finished his food and let out a small burp, "Wups...sorry.." he said blushing | |

| "Nothing like a country dinner," added Jane, behind Lancey, "Let's go check on the sheep, eh? The Stable Master's still branding the cattle." | |

| "Okay," Lancey agreed and headed off towards the sheep, keeping slow so she could walk with the others.

| Buttercup looked up at the kitchen right in front of her, she walked in and layed down on the cool tile floor. she heard everyone talking but just stayed there, she was 6 years old so it was tiring for her little legs to walk everywhere. | |
