Grass Blades- A Maned Wolf RP

Welcome to my Maned Wolf roleplay!!! In this roleplay they will be in a large grassland, searching for food because it's so scarce where they are. Enjoy roleplaying!!! lol

Siftwind slinked around in the large grasslands, his toes covered by the thick blades of green grass. He looked around and burst off into a sprint, he was running after a hare in his sight. His eyes locked intensely on it, it was starting to get away but he jumped, and having such long legs, he caught it. Sift lay there flat on the ground with a hare in his mouth. It was still moving, so he violently shook it and squeezed it harder between his jaws, and he lay down in the grass and tore pieces off of it.

Luly watched in the bushed with her mouth watering....just one bite...I'm so hungry!she sighed. She hadn't eaten in days!

A reddish maned wolf with black tufts crawled low on the ground, her eye on the bird in front of her. Dull, barely lifeless green eyes stared transfixedly as the flying prey rustled its feathers, and paws slowly crawled forward in want and hunger. Juuvin, not even a pawslength away in the tall sun-dried grasses, pounced in a flurry of movement, and in the next moment held a quickly dying quail in her maw. She shook it until it passed on and then, slavoring, happy, began to pace back and forth, growling crazily. No other would get HER meal.

[ooc, if you've ever read the Sight, then Juuvin is like Kar when he goes crazy. She's loony, dangerous, and very tempermental.]

Luly just sat there in the bushes, she was so hungry but it wasn't her catch and she would never steal from another.

"Wolves, wolves everywhere," sputter Juuvin, pacing faster now. every few moments she whipped around and snapped at her tail, sometimes taking out a small chunk of fur. Finally, when flies began to come towards her prize, she turned to it and snapped it up, bones and all; she'd just throw them up later.

Finally Luly decided to back out before she couldn't control herself. She walked out into forest and ran into another maned wolf, she hid behind a tree and watched closely.

"Kill them quickly and eat them whole. Rabbits, birds and the occasional vole!" shouted Juuvin in a singsong voice, playing with the leftover bones of the bird, nawing and chewing and tossing them around. She laughed, an odd, creepy sound.

Luly stared at the other wolf, what is wrong with them?!

Sift's ears perked up to hear another maned wolf almost singing. He gobbled up the rest of the hare, and walked over to investigate. As he got closer and saw the wolf, he crouched down low. But then, he noticed another maned wolf behind a tree and gave that maned wolf a questioning look.

Juuvin cackled, her eyes darting around again as she became once more suspicious of others.
"Who are you, what do you want? Go away! can't you see I'm busy?" she growled. She had no idea there were real maned wolves there, only the ones in her mind.

Sifts head popped out , "What, who are you talking about? Busy with what?" he said jokingly. He loved messing around with people.

Nariena was just walking around when she saw the 2 fighting. So she quickly hid behind a bush but she stepped on a twing and it snapped, Sifts and Juuvin heard her.

Juuvin turned on him and yelped, surprised to see another wolf.
"G-go away!" she shouted half-heartedly, her tail down in slight fear. "I, I'll eat you!"

As Nariena ran away, she faded away. Almost like a ghost.

Sift saw the wolf run away, "Pardon? You're going to... eat me?" he asked Juuvin with a raised eyebrow.

But Nariena wasn't running away, she was turing invisible. So she came back and Sift and Juuvin felt like somthing was watching them. They felt very cold.

Sift looked around, keeping his eyebrow raised. None of this made sense, but he shrugged and shook it off.

Juuvin shivered, still staring half menacingly, half frightened at Sift.
"W-what do you want?" she yowled at him, standing protectively over her bones.

"Nothing," Sift said casually. "I just heard uh... singing... and I went to go check it out." he finished and stepped out from behind the tree completely.

Luly watched contently but felt like not exposing herself. She stayed behind the safety of the tree and waited.

"Well, err, g-go away! I don't sing to strangers!" SHe tried to seem intimidating, but it was really quite sad as she seemed to shrink in size.

"Well, why not?" he asked, "I don't bite!! Well, at least not other Maned Wolves!" he grinned and wagged his tail.

Luly turned her head and stared wide eyes at a nice sized hare. Her mouth water and without thinking and with her instincts leading her she chased the hair right through the other to wolves, then she grabbed it and flopped over. She ate it with ease because she was so hungry.

Sift turned his attention to Luly, and snickered a little.

Luly finished the hare and turned over on her back. She hadn't had a meal in such a long time and she was so happy and relaxed.
