I use openCanvas 4.5.11 e plus, its just like photoshop, but a whole lot cheaper and without all the complicated crap i don't like X) The shading should work on PS too, I make a new layer above the colors and set it to "multiply" you should try that, its helpful. Then I use a hard bruch and black to shade, and to make it look soft and 3D-ish i pic the colors inbetween with the color picker (wich OC has on the right mouse button, another thing i love to eternity), and blend it. my opacity is about 70% i think And because I find black/grey a little boring for shading i use the color adjustments to make it look nover when Im done | |

| See, when u use a light color to shade on normal mode, its also shown light over the coloring, but if it is on multiply, its "transparent", just check it out ;D | |

| Hmmm, I have OC 1.1 and when I do the sketch and the linart on top of the sketch, on a new layer and colour it etc. I make a new layer for the background and put it under the lineart layer and it shows through the other layers and changes the colours etc. basically messes up the pic so do you know how to stop that from happening? do you change it to multiply or something? cos it's really annoying that I cant do backgrounds xD | |
