okay you wanted a newhorse RP thingy so i made one!

this is my SAtallion, cherry.
He is cherry bay with green eyes.

CXherry nipped the grass beneath his hooves. Swiveling his ears, he thought he could make out the sounds of other horses...

A black shadow stood out on the cliff, its shiny, ebony coat reflecting the dust and its equally dark mane and tail flowing majestically in the wind. There was a white marking on his brow, a star, and his eyes were a dark brown with golden flecks. He was Rais, a handsome arabian stallion, pure bred, eascaped from imprisonment on a ranch far, far to the east. He now reined here, on the desert-like dunes of the untamed west, wishing desperately he was back home in Arabia. He missed his dearly, but here he was mildly content, for he food was good, the water plentiful, and he did not want for any natural thing besides company, of which he had none. The other wild horses thought he was too stuck up, to purebred, but he was really loyal and wise once you got to know him, if not a bit rowdy and agressive every once and a while. He scanned the valley below, looking for any other horse, and pretending that the scrubby grass and boulders were the flowing sands and georgious oasises back home.

Scarlet trotted across the plain, her brown and white coat shining in the sun. Scarlet was an appaloosa mustang mix, her mane and tail was strangley wavey, and her eyes were bright green. She came up to a cherry bay stallion and said, "Hi,"

Glancing up, Cherry's large head slightly turned to the figure on the hill. "oh?"
Turning his whole body around, he faced the newcomer. Pricking his ears, he cantered up the hill, stopping at a safe distance. The cherry bay stallion examined ths black stallion. A refined muzzle, delicate legs, and flowing mane. This horse must not be a mustang. "hello there." He said smiling.

but glancing over, he saw the appaloosa mare coming up. He smiled.

Rais turned at the voice, and saw the stallion and mare speaking a bit farther down the hill. His first instinct was to drive him out, not only had they made him cut out on his pretending of being home, but they were in his territory, or how he had claimed it. However, his curiousity and lonliness got the better of him, and he trotted down the hill in all the grace of an arabian stallion.
"Greetings," he said formally, hearing his accent echo on the wind. If they didn't see if from his appearence, then they definitely noticed he was different from his voice.

Cherry turned to the visitor. "Why, hello!" he said cheerfuly. "My, you are a...different looking horse. You must be an Arabian? from the desert sands?" Cherry said knowingly.

"How very knowledgable of you," replied Rais respectfully, "And you're a native mustang, and a handsome color as well. Well met."

"Why thank yo." he said with a smile. " I have been to many places. Some horses appear with humans on their backs, looking like you. Others were well muscled and stocky, those i found were called quarter horses."
Cherry arched his neck and raised his foreleg to rid a fly from his muzzle. "So? what's your story? you obviously arent from arond here." Cherry asked eagerly.

"You're correct, I'm not from around here. I'm from a land far, far to the east. Farther than the Plains of Water, farther than the great mountains beyond that, and farther. It is a place of glowing sands and beautiful patches of paradise, where the land and the sky meet like gold and saphire, and time seems to slow..." he looked off into the distance wistfully.

The strawberry roan pattered forward on silvery hooves as she approached a small group of other horses. "Greetings. My name is Basil." She said formaly, but her grassy green eyes said otherwise as she stomped her hard feet.

Scarlet looked at the other horses up on the hill and looks down, and walked away.

Cherry glanced over to Scarlet. Streching his neck, he shouted "Hey, where are you going?" His tone was gentle, but loud.

Scarlet stopped, and turned her head. "Who knows?" she shouted back.

"I know!" said Rais in a leader-like tone, "You're coming with us." His good nature was starting to appear, and he turned to look at Basil.
"Hello there, I'm Rais and this is Cherry."

Scarlet turned around completely and looked at the three horses, and she bursted into a gallop. When she got to them she said, "Hi, I'm Scarlet." with a smile.

"Nice to meet you, Scarlet," he said, giving a bow that would honor any arabian mare [he's got manners AND good looks ;D], "I am dubbed Rais, this is Cherry, and I believe this mare to be named Basil."

"Nice to meet you." Cherry said, trying to bow the way Rais did, obviously looking awkward.

"My pleasure," she replied to Cherry and Rais. Her tail swished and her ears twitched, and she looked up to the sky. What a beautiful day.

"Yes, I am Basil. Greetings Cherry, Rais, and Scarlet." She said firmly, her grassy eyes sizing up Rais.

"A beautiful day, no?" Rais stated, watching Scarlet look up at the sky with mild amusement.

Scarlet nodded, "It truly is nice out here," she said keeping her eyes on the sky. Scarlet looked over at Basil, "Okay, hi Basil." she smiled.

"I have to admit, the Arabian sky does not look so grand as this," he stopped for a moment, his eyes glassing over slightly, "However, if you find this beautiful, you would love an arabian night. Such sunsets and stars!"

"Hmmm..." Scarlet smiled trying to imagine an Arabian night, but she knew she would never guess exactly what it looked like correctly.

Basil was silent during the two's conversation. She had never once seen the night sky.
